Meditative Belly Dance

Meditatie Belly Dance is a unique opportunity for you to “find yourself” through belly dancing.

The focus of these 90-minute, special classes is the embodiment of belly dancing. Move deeper into your “practice” of the dance. Learn to dance from the “inside-out”. This ongoing class is perfect for dancers who wish to explore the spiritual side of belly dancing, learning to use our movement as a pathway to quieting the mind and centering the dance from the “truth” of who we are as women.
We will explore the gentle, inner, mystical side of belly dancing, through

  • Silent seated meditation and breath work;
  • Mindful, focused movement; and
  • Exercises to help you listen to your body and connect with your deeper feminine power and essence.

These classes are open to students who have been dancing 4 months or longer, who have a solid understanding of basic movements. Bring a cushion or chair for seated meditation and dress in loose, comfortable clothing. No hip wraps needed.

Workshops limited to 8 participants. You can sign up for any or all of these workshops.
